Puffy Quilt Again

Hello again.

Remember this puffy quilt I made earlier? We made another one for the same client. This second piece is slightly longer to comfortably fit a 3-seater sofa.

Enjoy!

.... and here is the second piece.

This quilt is definitely very comfortable. I had to turn down her request to make it a double bed size, it is just too big to handle. Somehow, that made me thinking (really hard) on options as to how to attach the backing without having to encounter ooohhhhs and aaahhhhhs. I guess the answer is to experiment. May be later.

Lap top Case

Good morning.

This is a laptop case made a  few months ago. In the beginning I was worried with the choice of the fabric but once the applique was done, the whole thing looked quite pretty. Well, the owner is surely a young & confident lady.

If any of you want a lesson on this, please let me know.

New Batch of Baby Panels

Hi everyone.

Alright, I have no more excuses for not updating this blog! I have been away preparing for the Hari Raya and finishing some custom made orders from clients and relatives. In between, I managed to find some time to conduct lessons for friends, including two ladies who came all the way from Johor Bahru. Bravo Ros & Noreta! I salute you.

Last week, I started to respond to some mails which I had been keeping aside - regarding lessons and what not. It is time to move on. Time to take some actions, no more day dreaming. So I organised a meeting with my assistant on the Way Forward recently (sounds like a big conglomerate). Hopefully we can offer some good news soon.

And here is the first good news ladies. I have some baby panels which I couldn't resist, they are just too cute to miss. I can't wait to get them done especially the Hello Kitty panel. So here they are, but I only have 2 pieces of each panel.

 Hello Kitty panel (35"x 44")

  ABC 123 panel (23.5"x 44")

Boyz panel (44"x 23")

Owl Tree panel (35"x 44")

 Bazoople Carousel panel (35"x 44")

Hello Kitty fabric for border  (44" width)

So send me an email to reserve them. You can also choose one of these panels for a baby quilt lesson (subject to availability). The second good news, bring along a friend to take up the same lesson and enjoy some discounts on your lesson fees. Well, that's it. See you soon ya!

Telekung for Kids

Handbag Organiser

I have been wanting to embark on this project for so long. I love buying books and everytime I saw a project on handbag organiser, I kept dreaming about doing it the next day. But the how- to was such a long process and rather tedious as there were so many parts to assemble. So one day I asked my assistant to start this project. After deciding on the fabrics and discussing some other details, she started off the project. After 2 days, this blue organiser was completed.

It was worth doing it. The second one was done at a much faster rate as we already knew the process and even did some short cuts ( I will post the photo of the second one later). I also made one , for me, in yellow combination.

Here is the organiser - pockets on both sides, in front and reverse. The handles can also be redesigned.

We can custom made the compartments of the organiser to suit one's requirements.

This is how it looks like inside - with a few pockets and a side zipper for some valuable items.

So ladies, worry no more. You can even switch handbags every other day if you wish. Just switch the organiser into the new bag. And for you ladies who prefer to sew your own, lesson is also available.

Cushion Cover for A Friend

Cushion cover again? Yes but what can we say. And we love making cushion covers. They are fast to sew and the end results are very satisfying. This also gave us the opportunity to create new design that suits the recipient's personality.

This cushion cover was requested by a regular client - a gift for a friend. Machine appliqued and machine quilted (FMQ). Enjoy it Angie!

Sling Bag

Hi everyone. Happy New Year 2012.

This sling bag was specially ordered by Mrs. D. Earlier she requested for a Kindle case which was made using the same fabric. It seemed that she wanted a matching sling bag that can fit the case. So here is the sling bag ( I forgot to photograph the kindle case).

The flap is secured with a magnetic snap.

Looking quite stylish!
